During the reading period and final exams the law library will be open early and late with our great staff to help you find what you need. And, remember, we allow food and drink (in spill resistant containers) so that you can be as comfortable as possible. The temperature in the library is perfect right now, too.

Due to construction of the UDC Student Center, effective today, there will be changes to entry and exit points near the library. Below is a notice from the University on some of the changes:

The construction of the New Student Center at The University of the District of Columbia is getting under way. The University of the District of Columbia is excited about the new building and the transformation it will bring to the campus. Starting on Wednesday, March 21st, the first phase of construction fencing will be put in place. This phase will close off the Connecticut Avenue plaza.

The closing of this area includes:

* The closing of the front sliding doors from the Connecticut Ave. to Buildings 38/39. The side entrance door to Building 38 stairwell will remain open at this time for entry and exit.

* Fencing of the front of all Building 39 and most of Building 38 along Connecticut Ave.

* The closing of escalators/steps from Level A to the front entrance of Buildings 38/39.

* A short section of the Van Ness sidewalk on the UDC side will be closed. The other sidewalk on Van Ness will remain open for access to the breezeway and the VNC buildings.

* Please note that there is an emergency exit from the library located near the restrooms. The glass double-doors should not be used to exit in an emergency.

* Also, the exit doors located on the B level stairwell in Building 39 should not be used.

Thanks for your patience.
